Are BR protestors capable of rioting violently?

During Ferguson and Baltimore posters here laughed and said that'd never happen down here. Obviously BRPD has done a fantastic job at containing the protests thus far, but are residents here even capable of rioting like we've seen in other parts of the country? I'm just thinking maybe they deserve more credit than we give them for being smart enough to not do dumb shite like that. Do you think if our law enforcement was more relaxed that protestors here would riot given the opportunity? I feel like they know that we wouldn't put up with it and would nip it in the bud quick.

Most of the people that will be out there this week don't work, they are used to sitting in the AC drinking and playing video games. I think think the heat will start to take its toll . If it rains black women aren't getting their hair wet ....protest or no protest

Combination of the cops doing a great job and the black people down here knowing people aren't going to put up with that shite.
It's either that or they are so lazy and unorganized that they can't even get together to figure out how to riot.

They are going out in the scorching summer sun protesting the death of an armed, piece of dog shite career criminal rapist who tried to fight, and possibly kill police officers. And to top it off they have to keep one hand on their pants the entire time they walk because they wear them below their arse instead of above it. There is nothing smart about these "people".

I applaud both sides. There have been some idiots for sure but handled very well.

Sure they are.
I'm sure there are out of towners here trying to instigate nonsense

Well said. The protesters know how far they can go. The only time we may see any real rioting is when they say the shooting by police was justified. Then you may see some destruction. But it will be short lived .

Based on the home made videos, broadcasts, etc, I've been impressed with the fact that local black leadership seems to trying hard NOT to allow things to turn violent and blazing.
Hope they can keep it up. I think they have a better chance of their voices being heard if they do. (and I guess they do too)

Of course. Anyone is. There's been a small few who have tried. But credit to the masses for not joining in.

I think people are giving them too much credit. ferguson didn't get insane until they decided not to indict.

YET... Just wait until they say the shooting was justified.... Then they will go crazy... Just because they will think it will CHANGE something... Which it wont.....

And the same will happen here... To no avail but it will still happen.....Its a shame though... The LOSS of life is what they are pissed about already... More black deaths WILL occur if they start destroying things..

I'm sure they are but brpd has help from outside agencies. I give credit to the natives for not allowing deray to stir them up.

Agreed.... I am hoping that they realize that this is a lost cause and won't CHANGE ANYTHING... If blacks keep commiting crimes then more shite like Sterling will happen.... Its pretty simple....

There was a black kid on periscope yesterday, he was talking about he posted a video the day before, obviously threatening the cops etc. This kid was saying how sorry he was, and warning protesters that "these people are not fn around!!! You don't understand, they came to my house yesterday, they put a gun in my moms face, do not mess with these white people, yall have small arse guns, they have real shite maaaaannnnnn, just take my word, you don't want to mess with them, I learned my lesson!"
He went on and on!

Outside agitators will get things started if it happens at all. It's just as likely to erupt in Chicago or Baltimore as Baton Rouge when Grand Jury's findings are released.
It's a national media story in an election year.
