State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 54-year-old Prairieville grandmother and her two-year-old grandson after they were reported missing Saturday morning.

State Police believe the two have been abducted by Mary Jones’ husband, Troy Jones, 48, who may have kidnapped her after recent domestic disputes, a State Police news release Saturday afternoon says.

Officials believe Denim Bureau is in imminent danger, the release says.

The two were reported missing after Mary Jones did not show up for work shortly after 6 a.m., the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office new release says.

Mary Jones and the child were last seen at 38466 Highway 42. Mary Jones may be driving a blue 2016 Hyundai Elantra with the license plate ZDC995, the release states.

Mary Jones is a black woman with black hair, brown eyes, about 5-feet-8-inches tall and 210 pounds, the release says. Bureau is a black child with black hair, brown eyes, about 2-feet-6-inches tall weighing 39 pounds.

The suspect, Troy Jones, is described as a black man with black hair and brown eyes, about 5-feet-11-inches tall weighing 210 pounds.
