Apple's 'Project Titan' car initiative negatively impacting Tesla's product dev

Apple's recruitment of Tesla workers has had a "big impact" on the marque's ability to keep up with development of future vehicles, a well-placed source with knowledge of the situation told AppleInsider. Tesla is preparing to deliver its Model X crossover this month following numerous delays.
It's not clear how, or even if, Apple's plans have impacted the Model X. The Model S sedan also suffered significant setbacks during its development, which began well before the kickoff of "Project Titan."
The story may be different for the mass-market-targeted Model 3, however. Tesla's Model 3 is tentatively scheduled for delivery in late 2017, but whispers of delays are already circulating throughout the industry.
Apple is thought to have as many as 1,000 employees working on Project Titan, with many of those coming over from Tesla. The hires run the gamut from production managers to senior engineers.
The number of Tesla employees leaving the electric carmaker for positions in Apple's own vehicle group is beginning to affect Tesla's future product roadmap

So is Apple going to make the same car for 10 years but tell me it's an all new game-changer every year?

The Apple Driving Gloves will be the real gamechanger.

The iFuel downloads from iTunes will be a fortune. Good thing everyone has the AppleWallet and can ApplePay

Am I going to have to jailbreak my Apple car to get the most out if it?

Now that we've gotten the obligatory jokes out of the way, is Apple actually going to get into the car manufacturing business? They certainly have the cash on hand to do it, but it just seems so out of their area of expertise.

the gas tank will provide up to 2 gallons of free storage. Thats a 2000% increase over the previous generation iPad!!!
power users can purchase additional iFuel storage for $50/month per gallon

there are other items on the todo list as well.
- convince users less is more (reverse is not really needed)
- trailer hitches are prohibited b/c apple gives you everything you need and no room for expansion.
- patent silly shite like a hand gesture to open the car door.
- change something that doesn't need changing (i.e. handle bars instead of a steering wheel or maybe the driver will be in the back seat)

Probably not. They haven't found a way to convert egocentrism into a workable fuel yet.

With over $200 billion in cash they can buy all the experts they want in the world and a few companies too if needed on top of that. I don't know why they don't just acquire Tesla at this point. They could replace that humongous touch screen center console on the Tesla Model S with the iPad Pro.

Although the S model will have a trailer hitch because by that time Apple will have perfected it to where it is feasible to use on a car
