Apple TV gets HBO Go and WatchESPN

LINK

quote:

Apple TV users can finally watch HBO and ESPN without resorting to troublesome workarounds. The small media streaming box now has official support for HBO Go and WatchESPN, the former of which was said to be in the works six months ago. Apple TV's low price point and tight integration with the iTunes ecosystem have made it a strong offering, but competing products such as Roku give users hundreds of options — a far cry from the few dozen offerings on Apple TV. Three other content providers are being added to the Apple TV as well, including Sky News, Crunchyroll, and Qello.

I know you apple tv users have been clamoring for this.

I've been thinking of pulling the trigger and getting an Apple TV. Might be the time.

i really don't understand HBO go... if you have it on your TV why would you want to pay MORE for it to watch it on your apple tv?

call me when they let me sign up for HBO go without cable service.

You don't pay more for HBO go. If you have HBO you can have HBO go and it is nice because it's on demand.

So I got a Roku for Father's Day and haven't got to play with it yet. Can I stream Geaux Zone, ESPN3, etc on it?? Is there some sort of work around I'll need to use? Thanks

HBO Go has everything currently showing on HBO plus every series HBO has produced in its entirety (except for From The Earth To The Moon for some reason )On Demand is limited to current stuff.

Not to mention, if you have itunes/iphone/ipad, you can stream content. Airplay is very cool as well.

All I watch is HBO and ESPN. The time needs to come where I pay for only those 2 channels and not all the bull shite filler like MTV/MTV2, BRAVO, and whatnot.

I believe so. Xbox had a 2 year exclusive?

None of the above. At least I haven't.

Just get an HDMI cable and sync it to your TV.
