The year is 1988.

What if I told you that two of these dudes would be rich beyond our wildest dreams, with one of them becoming a billionare?

At a technological standpoint, yes. In a trendy standpoint, no. It's trendy to get an Iphone and Beats. There are clearly better phones (HTC One) and headphones than Beats(Sennheiser) but it's whats popular. :biggrinemoticon:

Well he only owns 20% of Beats, so he'll only make $640,000,000. And Apple also wanted the streaming business that Beats is building so it wasn't all about the headphones.

Beats and other overpriced products such as Monster cables are despised by audiophile communities. It's all fad/hype with zero substance. But hipsters love showing off their headphones with b logo on it.

Dre is a minority owner of the company (no pun intended). Wouldn't say this makes him a billionaire.
