Apparently the local Waffle House is the gay guy hangout on Friday night

I wanted some food after a day of college football and didn't want IHOP, so I went the Waffle House. There were about 20 guys and one girls in there, some of them were openly gay, is this a thing or is it just where I live? I opened sports center on my phone and kept my head down.
