So what will your total cost be in the end do you think? I need to do the same.

2200 sqft 4 bed / 3bath. Everything except closets and trim (just touching up trim from previous paint job).

He started Monday and has already done over half of the house. I expect for him to have 1 more week with a day or 2 of touching up trim.

So estimate $2k for labor.

10 gal of ceiling paint should cover everything @ $200

6 gal covers all 4 bedrooms @ $205

3 gal covers all 3 bathrooms @ $110

4 gal covers living room, kitchen and washroom @ $140

2 gal covers stairwell @ $70

So basically my entire house painted for less than $3k parts and labor.

I just bought it last Friday and the previous owners gave me a $3k check for paint allowance so Im making out like a bandit

I never have painted anything until I decided to paint my offices over Christmas, I have 3 that are about 15 x 15 each, and it took about 3-4 hours total and it looks great. I had no idea how easy it was.

Best thing you can do if painting yourself is get an 18" roller. You have to get a wider bucket or pan but you can paint a standard bedroom in about 15 minutes

Painting is Greek mythology to me. I've tried it several times and can't do it for shite. I'm convinced one needs to be a drugged out hippie from sniffing years of toxic fumes to qualify as a good painter.

We got there right at 7 and sat at the bar until almost 8 when the table was ready. I was the only one in there wearing shorts at the time. They were nice shorts and I had a green polo seersucker to compliment my nice shorts. I came in with a beer in my Orange Beach huggie and went directly to the Men's room to take a leak. I then placed my Orange Beach huggie in my nice shorts. Had I kept it out, you would've noticed me.

We will have to meet up soon.

4 I hear you brother.

Django thats a nice price. I was quoted $7400 by a professional outfit to paint my ceilings and 3 bedrooms. I had to pass and go with this solo oldtimer.

I live in NWLA (Bossier City). He drives in from Cloutierville near Natchitoches every day.

He gets a full room done each day (2 coats on walls and ceiling) plus one coat on another room. He usually shows up at 8 and works straight through until 3.
