I am here for a conference, Linthicium Heights and was thinking of going to the O's game tonight. Anyone from around here? I just want to have some level of assurance that I won't get shot.

TIA

Haha, really? I am like 5 miles from city center.

I've never been here before

I live in Baltimore. Although I'm sure everyone on here will say it sucks, it's an awesome place to live and visit. Federal Hill, Fells Point, Inner Harbor, Canton, and Harbor East are all great options for entertainment, music, and drinking/dining.

Linthicum Heights is kind of a random place to be staying, but you aren't too far from the city and it's an easy trip to Camden Yards from there.

The stadium looked pretty empty on ESPN last night! Did you even go?

I dont think its that random.

Its practically the airport. Its where tons of hotels and conference facilities are

5 mins from downtown even tho its in AACo

You will be fine going to a game. I am going Saturday. The train will drop you off right at the stadium. Just make sure you check what time it stops running in case of extra innings etc.
walk around before you go in and grab some beers before the $7.75 beer inside. It's a great place to see a game.

That's because with the exception of a few nice areas (including the ones you listed off), it's a pretty terrible city.

It should be real easy to get tickets there. Tuesday night game you can probably walk up to the ticket office and buy

Is that the case? I don't mind a little "protesting", but a few weeks ago, it seemed like I may not be welcome downtown.

There's a great thread on this already about a man spending quality time with a group of teens.
