I'm going to a privately done beer fest on friday night in W-S then to Boone on Saturday morning...with a large headache in all likelihood . You need to get up there, Pal.

Ew, Tobacco Road. Everything east of Asheville and west of the coast is full of yankee transplants.

The Dr. that makes and invites to his beer fest is from the NW...great guy. As for those on the road...I do not engage them if the get over as I approach. The beer he makes is as good as ANY I have ever purchased...He does the right way...in has basement..refridged. lines....all of it top notch. But it is STRONG. Luckily I have to only walk across the street to my buddy's home when I am done...

I like to say it's not addictive, but I swear after a long hard day at work, it sure calls to me. I guess that is where a "normal" American would grab a Whiskey or a Beer.

I do hope for the day when it's no longer criminal to use.

I do love that it's no longer such a stigma.

If you can find it, you should buy Red Oak. It's brewed in Whitsett and is far and away my favorite beer, ever. I bought 5 cases the last time I was up there.

Generational lingo is so funny to me. My dad calls pot 'dope', but anyone under 40 associates the word with heroin. Or maybe I've known too many heroin addicts.
