I usually get up at a decent time on Sunday mornings to get to my breakfast spot before the church crowd gets there...I didn't make it this morning.

That's a great excuse to why I've missed church for the last 20 years. Thanks!

If anyone missed, they can always just say "God works in mysterious ways". Life is boiled down to two things for church goers, no thinking necessary. Bad thing happens - God works in mysterious ways. Good thing happens- God is great!

Not really, it was boring AF.

I do miss the girls who would all dress sluttier on Sun than any other day of the week though.

Judging from the attendance at my church compared to the usual, I would say more than a few.

I sacrificed an hour of sleep to the Flying Spaghetti Monster so that he would grant me an hour of daylight after work for the next couple seasons.

I don't need to go to church every Sunday in order to pray or to be close to Jesus. I'm a good person, I don't screw over other people, and I treat people with the same respect I would treat my mother and my wife. I think I'm good.

What's the point of going to church? Seems like a waste of time to me.

Noticed the same thing. Definitely a lighter crowd than usual.

It's meant to be a vessel for people to connect with other believers and hear the word basically. Because Christianity is based fundamentally on relationship and love for each other, it makes sense to meet with other believers.
