I guess this is a spin off thread…
I have never paid much attention to Scientology, but thanks to the thread on Tom Cruise, I have been reading up on it; to say it's bizarre is an understatement.
Has anyone ever known anybody that believes that lunacy?? Estimates show there are 8 million of them. Yikes.

I think that's a bit much. So trying to use tools at your disposal to better yourself is bizarre?

Scientology isn't any more bizarre than attending college or avoiding gluten. And they help a lot of people.

I talked to a Scientologist one time when I was having a Thetan problem. He gave me an estimate on Thetan removal, but I thought it was a little high. I just bought some stuff from Walmart and handled it myself.

I was in New York in November of 07. Me and some friends were walking down the street and i saw a "church of Scientology." I wanted to go in and just see what all the fuss was about. Inside was very nice, clean, and well kept. I talked to a receptionist and she told me an "informational video" would be starting in like 7 minutes. She showed to this mini theater. It had like a 100 inch screen and like 20 or so chairs like a movie theater. me and my 3 buddies sat down and like 4 other people showed up. The video started and was saying stuff like "you are the reason you have cancer. it is controlled by the neurons on your brain." they had a brain on the screen with arrows pointing to different lobes saying which ones made you sick and which ones could heal you and crap. Well, we walked out. We decided to just walk around and they had classrooms that were glass walls so you could see through ever wall in all of the 5-6 classrooms. You could see people in there being taught like they were in school. They were in desks, taking notes with some type of professor doing the teaching, and writing different crap on a whiteboard. Well, while we were walking around, this old man, like 70 years old, found us and was like "you cant be back here. this is off limits." we were like sorry, we were just leaving from the informational video and got lost. That old man slapped the girl that was with us in the shoulder and told us we needed to leave now or he was calling the cops. we left and that was that. it was super weird.

Not saying I am or not. I will say that they can do amazing work to help with people's anger and overall judgmentalness. You ever had your thetons checked? They might be able to let you in on the kind of happiness you never knew existed.
