Wondering if anyone here has DIY experience with putting up gutters. If so, any tips? Is it best left to a pro or is it fairly easy to do? How much do you save by doing it yourself?

Too cheap to worry about doing yourself. Hire someone.

You can, but they won't be seamless and will probably look cheap to anyone who knows what they are looking at.

Quite possibly the worst thread ever started on TD.

And that is saying something.

Seamless is $6ft and $60 per downspout. Installed.

No reason to do it yourself.

There are certain projects that you just don't want to do yourself.

This is one of them.

Speaking as someone who has done this, don't. It ends up trashy looking. Hire someone that comes out with a truck that can roll out the gutters the exact length you need and where the corner miters are cut by machine to be perfect angles and they are pop-riveted into place and sealed.

Suck it up and pay for it to be done.

Unless you have a machine and some coil stock, you won't get seamless gutters buying the stuff from Home Depot or Lowe's and that crap is just that...crap. It will look cheap and won't last like having someone install seamless gutters made with thicker coil stock.
