To make it worse had to have my 4 year old pup put down today. Pretty shitty day.

That's terrible, my condolences

Alone, and my depression kicked in about 3 days ago with a vengeance, so just trying to sleep and not eat a bullet.

reading up on Trametes Versicolor (turkeytail mushrooms) - have thousands of them growing on an old oak firewood pile. found out they help prevent cancer - go figure

Wife just had surgery and we have a 7 month old. So i am taking care of him while shes laid up. But all is well. Plenty to be thankful for. Can party and celebrate another time.

Just LSD and Psilocybin. And it has cured all of my ills.

welbutrin, Prozac, Risperdal, doxepin and the occasional ambien/whiskey combo

Been on this since I got out the military in 09.

ETA.. No, the fireworks have nothing to do with it.

I've had two friends take that route you don't want to do that man that's the last fricking resort. You can change your life and take a different direction that leads you to a brighter place!

This is the 5th Independence Day that I have spent alone since the end of a long term relationship and my move back to Northern Virginia. I played golf yesterday; stayed in most of today due to the weather; and will get to see my son tomorrow.

I have come to appreciate my alone time. While part of me would like to be in a relationship again, I am convinced that being alone is far better than being in a bad one. I will never settle just to be part of "a couple".

Over the past few years I have come to realize that living alone is true "independence" rather than something to feel badly or sorry about. I trust that those of you who have spent our Nation's Birthday alone feel the same way.

Happy Independence Day!

Just chillin at home watching TV. Not a big drinker these days. Played a round of golf this morning, went for a run this afternoon, and cooked some jambalaya tonight. A little lonely I guess but that comes with being sober and preferring to feel great in the morning. Don't have any real friends where I'm living now anyways so either way I get somewhat lonely on the weekends anyways.

My wife is upstairs watching Big Bang Theory reruns, 4 mo old daughter is sleeping (and waking up every 10 min due to fireworks) and i'm in the basement watching the stream of the Grateful Dead. Drinking some SweetWater 420 and trying to stay away from the weed that I have that I haven't smoked for 6 months.
