What were your results?

What were your main protein and fat sources during the first half of the day?

What were your main carbohydrate sources during the second half of the day?

Did you have any negative or positive effects when you stopped backloading and reintroduced carbohydrates early in the day?

I'm guessing this is not eating carbs until the afternoon or something?

Around the middle of your day, after your workout.

I've never looked into it. The only time I've done any sort of carbo loading was in the days leading up to a marathon. Those were my favorite days of training by far.

What do you hope to accomplish by doing this?

If you'd like legitimate nutrition advice, I suggest reading articles /watching videos from Layne Norton. He has a PhD in Nutrition and is a natural bodybuilder/ competitor. He's a little cheesy with his motivating stuff, but the guy is legit.

I've increased my carb intake by a lot, but it's not backloaded. Why should I consider it? Teach me, O-T Greek gods.

I haven't done it yet, but I've heard from a lot of people that they've had positive results in reducing body fat. I've heard some guys talk about about making muscle/strength gains also.

What about for those of us that workout first thing in the morning?

Do we just load at lunch?

I work out after work usually, so I guess carb backloading is good for me?

Just eat within your macros. "backloading," which is news to me, isn't going to make a difference.

Personally, I'd never go without carbs in the morning.

I've only heard of it designed around a workout in the middle of the day.

No need to make things complicated. If you want to lose weight, stay in a caloric deficit (burn more calories than you consume). That is the only thing that will truly cause you to lose weight.
