Anyone Here Evern Done A Dragon Boat Race ?

Seems to be the new thing for festivals and fundraising. Any tips on how to win with an extremely unathletic team that will probably be a little drunk ?

Did the one in BR in 2005. It was moderately amusing as a few of got hammered.

Just did one this past weekend here in Japan. Just make sure you paddle in sync.

Did one in a Corporate Challenge in Vegas. They are fun but it's hard work depending on how long the race is.
Drink more so you think you are winning, because you will have no chance.

Find some guy at the last minute that has the skill and wherewithall to whip your team into shape the night before the big race!

Ditto. It was cool.
Tip? Before you do it have the drummer and your paddlers work out a rhythm to follow. Tell the drummer to start slow at first.

Did one last year with a mix of athletic guys and some not so athletic guys mixed in with a few girls. Didn't do that great but it was fun.

My dad and sister did the Superior one near laffyette a few weeks ago. He said it was exhausting but fun.

not possible...there will be a few crossfit teams that will win it all and beat everybody by a wide margin
