I actually did this twice in my life. Won't do it again....probably the most criminal thing I've ever done behind the wheel.
I was speeding once on southbound LA415 in WBR one night years ago and right as I crossed the overpass at the rail road tracks, a cop headed the other direction hit his blue lights. When he went over the crest of the bridge I turned left at the first road I came to and headed towards LA1.
I did this again when I was speeding on 55 in northern Jackson and got caught. I pulled over and got an early dinner at Whataburger for about 20 minutes.
Oddly enough, I usually drive the speed limit or, at most, 5-10 over if the road is clear. It's much less stressful to travel long distance that way. My dad drives faster than I do....probably because I'm too cheap to buy any more fuel than absolutely necessary.
