Used to be at my old place of work. Yes, its helpful to get feedback from others, and getting practice at speaking in front of a group.

They have a Toastmasters group at my work. The members swear by it.
Personally, I love speaking in public (and talking in general
) and presenting to an audience so I never saw a need for it.
