I'm horny right now. I'd love to stare at a chicks bootyhole as she sucks me off. That'd be nice.

I think it is from bacteria in the nails infecting the scratch. Not sure if a bite is the same.

Had it when I was a junior in high school I have 2 nice scars from the incision and drainage of the nodes. Mine were in my leg. Thought it was Lymphoma.. ended up being cat scratch fever, recoversed completely after a few weeks of antibiotics.

Was excision and drainage necessary? I mean, do you think antibiotics would have been enough to cure the problem without messing with the lymph nodes?

Cat scratch is bartonella. It's pretty rare. If you got bit, it either Staph or Pasturella. Go take 10 days of Doxy and you'll be fine.

getting bit is not the same as cat scratch disease. you need antibiotics, probably Augmentin (amoxicillin/clavulanate) 875 mg PO q12hr or 500 mg PO q8hr for 3-5 days

But seriously though, go to a doctor. Lymph node involvement means they are necrotizing and it can disseminate further.

Cat scratch OR bite can be Bartonella. The fact that he has lymph node involvement (especially under his armpit) means it is more than likely Bartonella. It causes a very distinct reaction in the lymph nodes of the affected limb. If it was Staph it would just be swollen at the site more than likely.
