I think it's a nice little car. It's got some bmw design. Looks like it would be fun to drive

Way to not set your sights too high. Mazdas are garbage and that car looks like shite.

They're actually built in Japan, they're cheaply constructed and underpowered and small.

Just basic transportation.

Don't buy into the marketing.

If you want that sized car that will drive out well, go small BMW or M-B.

Don't listen to these idiots.

Mazda's are nice, well built, reliable cars and feel more sporty when you drive them vs Honda and Toyota.

You get a lot for your money with a Mazda.

I have had 3 of them and never had a major issue.

The new 3 and new 6 BOTH made Car and Drivers 10 best list in 2014. I think Mazda was the only one with 2 cars on that list.

Mazda is proud of their parts meaning they're expensive. More expensive than other car parts for cars I have owned.

Solid cars, reliable.

They won't have the longevity or the resell of the Big Two Asian marques, but they will generally go 100K without too much of an issue.

Had a 2005 Mazda 3 up until this past December... nice little car is an accurate description. It was extremely reliable, was still running well and probably could have lasted me another 10 years, but I wanted to upgrade in size.

Decent ride.

Exactly the same for my 2005 Mazda 3.

There was zero wrong with it, I just really got the itch for something new.

+1

I have a 2007 that I bought used with 27,000 miles on it.

I am at 263,000 now and I love it.

HOWEVER,

1. Mine is a stick and the 5 speed is what makes the car fun to me.

2. I am not a car person and I am not impressed with cars for the most part.

I think the 6 sport is worth the extra few grand. Was on my way to buy a Passat and was seeing that Mazda was #1 on consumer reports(reliability, owner satisfaction), when I test drove it I was good.

If you want it to be the same price as the 3, all you have to do is look for a 6 in Manual/stick shift. Tougher to sell, they'll drop the price where it will be close in price.

I got my M6 sport last year for $17k, and haven't regretted it one single day, except maybe color, black cars show a ton of plant dirt.

I've owned Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Plymouth (but it was Mitsubishi engine). Mazda was more expensive to repair than the others.

Current price of past vehicles would probably be low to mid 20s.

I know that my millennia was expensive because they are hard to work on (access is tight under the hood) but the parts weren't what I would call expensive. Every time I put the BMW in the shop it was $500 minimum

Why is insecurity the only reason someone can be into vehicles? I'm sure you have a hobby that I don't think is particularly interesting and worth whatever amount of money you spend on it too.

So you work in a plant but can't figure out how to calculate operator salary? Hmm, not that anyone doesn't already know you're full of shite, but thanks for the proof.

Very good point. I overreacted. I'm definitely not a car person. I do like my TT though, but no way would I own it if I hadn't gotten a great deal and if it wasn't a convertible.
