I did the honeymoon at a Sandals resort there. I loved it.

I didn't realize you were there that week too
St Lucia was great. We are taking the same trip as our honeymoon this year for our anniversary just longer

I leave there for my honeymoon at the end of October. Climbing the pitons is at the top of our list.

Honeymoon there for 7 nights at Sandals Halcyon. Seriously just got back yesterday. As said, island infrastructure is poor, but the resort was fine. Staff is attentive and the views/water is gorgeous.
Probably won't go back though. Thought it was going to be a bit more elegant than it was. Rooms were ok but nothing special. Food and drink felt like I was on a cruise ship a little nicer than a Carnival. I guess you can't expect to be wined and dined extensively at an all-inclusive resort.
Overall probably would have gone somewhere else just because food and drink are a huge priority to me.
We stayed at sandals grande st Lucian last year for our honeymoon and loved it. Just my observation, but the halycen is the worst sandals resort there is. It really isn't a sandals resort because it was just a hotel bought out by sandals

Stayed 4 nights at Anse De Chasanet a few years ago. Very nice but a good way from towns. Restaurants there and at Jade Mtn were good enough to not need to drive on their shitty roads to go elsewhere. Very nice beach below the resort to sit and gaze back into the mountainous jungle.

Yeah, we stayed at the grand. Best beaches by far of the 3 sandals. We did dinner at the other two to mix things up. La Tuc had good facilities from what we could see but halcyon was not as nice.

Honeymooned there last year, stayed at Sandals Halcyon. The workers were extremely friendly and the resort was pretty much spotless (and lots of fun, but some parts had a dated feel to them). The highway infrastructure between the airport and the resort left something to be desired (especially the bridge that was washed out years ago and still hasn't been repaired due to lack of funds, so you have to detour down into the ravine, around, and back up).
The weather is infricking sanely wonderful. Mid-to-upper 80's during the day, mid to upper 70's at night. Random gentle rains that are just enough to cool things off a little, the constant breeze keeps it from feeling too humid.
Just remember though, it's a loooooooooong flight (you are pretty much just off the coast of Venezuela). Bring a book or take something to knock you out (we flew JetBlue out of JFK so we got to watch free movies :) ).
