Anyone ever swallowed a (dental) crown?

I was eating earlier and I realized my mouth felt different, probed with my tongue and my molar was gone.
It was a crown I had to get when I broke a tooth on a popcorn kernel about five years ago.
I didn't even realize it pulled loose.
Made dentist appointment and they told me to do something unthinkable. Either that or get a new one made....
I was wondering since this is common, has anyone else toilet dived for a missing crown?

I would fork out the cash for a new one

Get that shite-eating grin off your face.

I did.
I started eating the queen from her feet up and once I got to her head I was all "frick it"
It was a bitch to pass though.

Be a man and get that crown back.

Just imagine you're panning for gold... which is probably not far off the mark value-wise.

that's what I'm going to do, I have decent dental insurance.
Plus I need a cleaning.
I can't imagine putting that back in.
She literally said, use a bag, squeeze for it, once you get it , put it in 1:10 bleach overnight, then next mornign put it in mouthwash and wait until Thursday (my appointment) and she will put it back in.
Now the flip side is I would need a new one made and that takes a week or two so I will have a temporary silver one until then. I can deal with that though.

I've heard of this before, if you're strapped for cash I guess you could look in the toilet.

That's true, with insurance I think the crown cost $500, but that was with a root canal, the roots are dead.
I have these meta things that are sticking out of where the crown was though, very annoying and I can't stop touching it with my tongue.

first thing I tried. Two fingers to the back of the throat.
I gave up after a while. Then got this stuff from CVS to make me puke and all I did was puke up that stuff and drink, no food.
Which means it's already in my intestines.
