What are you looking at housing wise for that period of time? Is company covering your expenses? Are you doing the hotel stay thing or looking for an apt or home?

Your wife will need to get creative to keep the kids entertained. Caves are a no brainier but you will need more. Swimming , hiking and day trips to like Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, Etc is doable. They can always head to El Paso for a couple of days. White Sands is fun to go see and the white sands missile range museum is decent.

There is a water park between El Paso and Las Cruces off I-10.


I have kids myself but it's different living here vs temporarily living here. Our kids have friends they hang with and sports they are involved with. It will be challenging but it all depends on how adaptable your family is.

Just saw a guy in a work truck with LA plates and he had a Yeti hat on. Was this you OP?
