Anyone ever pulled a Billy Madison

and apologized to someone years later for things you said or did to them as kids? Or maybe were the recipient of such an apology?
I suppose I wasn't unlike many youngsters in that in grade school I was insecure and would sometimes join in on group teasing of some poor soul. I never really was one to start it, but I definitely participated to save face and make myself in some sick way feel better.
I remember one kid in particular used to get it so badly that he had to change schools in 7th grade. I ran into him 15 or so years later, and he was successful and engaged to a hottie (no pics).
We ended up talking about grade school and how shitty it could be, and I ended up apologizing for any grief I may have caused him. He actually said that he never had any problem with me, but he did air out some residual anger towards some of the others.
It's funny how none of that shite matters when you reach adulthood. But you still never forget...

Someone I hadn't heard from in about 15 years called me and apologized for something that I had long forgotten. I was like "O--kay. Thanks, I guess."
I just figured it was part of some 12-step program where he had to make amends or something.

Bullying has become a big issue.
I'm still an advocate for punching said bullies in the face. Unfortunately today's society believes everybody should be friends...

Made fun of a fatty in high school but with the combination of surgery and cocaine lost a lot of weight in the years since.
I did more than apologize to her.
I did more than apologize to her.

I thought you were talking about lighting bags of shite on people's doorsteps when I first read this thread title.

I once refused to apologize to a guy for stretching the neck of his sweater...

I placed a flaming bag of dog shite on an a-hole neighbors doorstep.
Does that count?
Does that count?

Said something false behind my back to a friend when I was in high school, basically starting a rumor that didn't go far. It was really stupid and I just wrote him off as a jerk, which is why I hadn't thought about it in all those years.

I got a call from a buddy I went to college with that I hadn't seen in like 10 years. He apologized for stealing some of my shite to fund a habit.
He stole from about 3 or 4 of us and called each of us to apologize. Part of his "healing process".
I accepted and we shot the shite for a while. He's completely fried though and we had very little to discuss in common.

Maybe I should expand the thread to times you pulled ANY kind of Billy Madison.
Ever gotten so shitty you saw a penguin?

I'm waiting for the statute of limitations to expire before contacting them.
