I've bought before from Discount Tire Direct and I highly recommend it. Free shipping and I saved $300 on a set of tires.

Used tire rack once but once I paid to have them out on I didn't save much.

I use tirerack to see what tires I really like, then note the price. I then use Amazon to find the best price and free or low cost shipping on tires, buy from amazon. Works for me.

I used tire buyer. They shipped to the installer in 2 days which made it easy. They saved me 40 per tire.

Tractor tires and implement tires.

No big deal. Paid the local tire guy $12 a tire to mount them. Then I realized I could buy a tire iron for $12 and do it myself.

Balancing and alignment are different animals, though.

I don't think you'll save that much but the selection is great. For me it's been the only convenient way to get the tires I want. Trouble is finding someone to install. Many won't if you don't buy the tires from them.

I order motorcycle tires off Amazon and it's worked out great. You can usually save a good bit of money.

Every time I looked at Tire Rack, the pricing was too high compared to local.

Discount tire direct. Have bought tires in a store in probably 20 years. I am 41 years old.

Used discounttiredirect.com. Got free shipping and $80 rebate.

Recommend you know the tire you want. There were 3 different tires with same Brand/Model that I looked at (Cooper Discoverer AT) b/c of different speed/load ratings.

Saved few hundred $

I did all of the research and was set to order them from Tirerack, but then I checked with Upton (in Madison) and they had the same tire in stock and put them on for the same price I could have ordered and had them installed for.....
