I took a half of a methadone once and it fricked me the hell up.

I had a friend that was taking them to stop heroin withdrawals. He gave me a half and I felt like I was floating.

Ok. I've read enough stupid shite on here that I have to say something.

First off, Suboxone is two drugs. One is a narcotic and the other inhibits narcotic effects.

Subtext is the same medicine as the suboxone except no inhibitor. You are more likely to get high and has a higher abuse potential.

Methadone is an opioid with a long half life which gives it the bad reputation of being the longest detox in the street opioid game.

Tl:Dr: Suboxone is an opioid but won't get an addict high and I've seen some users eat 5 or 6 8mg strips. It will get a non user high but why a non user would be taking suboxone and not something else is beyond me.

Tl

Buddy gave me some in 2011 and told me it was acid.

I was sick as ever loving shite. Violently nauseated, vomited everywhere.

We are no longer friends.

Fwiw if anyone here is taking this shite as maintenance it IS possible to get off with a strict and very gradual taper. Then jump off and locate some kratom. The shite works.

I've never cared for opiates but I know a couple of people on Suboxone and they seem to function normally. My understanding is that they're like methadone but with fewer dead bodies. Methadone has killed a few friends of mine.

Suboxone is very bad shite. Anyone who claims that it doesn't have a very negative impact on their life is lying to themselves. I spent 4-5 months slow tapering before jumping off the shite and post acute withdrawal symptoms can last over 6 months. If you stay on a while it's easy to forget how being clear headed actually feels.

I have also lost a few friends who were mixing done and Xanax. They went to sleep one night and never woke up.

Same here

As far as being correct, individuals relations to drugs vary and my opinion is also based on the junkies I knew. As hard as they tried, they never got the high they wanted.

As far as the methadone being a worse detox than anything, that's what I hear from 90% of people that have tried to detox.

Maybe they are trying to get off of pain pills after their doctor got them hooked. Unbelievable how many people get addicted after surgeries and car wrecks. A good friend was in a bad car wreck and her doctor was very loose with giving her pills in my opinion

How bad will the withdrawal be for a person that takes about 2mg a day?
