Anyone else think the French "emergency rule" is overstepping their bounds?

Personally I think it's way overboard at this point. They still have leeway to search people's homes without any warrant. I'd be pretty pissed if a bunch of police officers demanded entry to my house anytime after the intial manhunt, much less two and a half months later.

It's clearly a violation of the 4th amendment.

You are looking at our future.

That's why we have a constitution here, which statists are constantly trying to erode under the guise of "keeping us safe".
I'd rather freedom and a little danger.

You can either have privacy or you can not be blown up, you can't have both.

I don't understand why France keeps allowing uneducated, misogynistic, gay-hating far far far right Muslim migrants in to live on the government dole at the expense of highly educated, liberal, fully assimilated and wealthy Jews are leaving the country in record numbers
Isn't the expelling of Jews at least as politically incorrect as not allowing migrants in?

they should obtain warrants first but i have no problem with them ramping up surveillance and enforcement. they have a serious crisis over there of their own making.

Nope. It's France. They had the French Revolution, not the American Revolution. They have never been about Liberty. Like American progressives, they are about "equality" which gives them the ability to disregard liberty. And being overrun with Jihadi Tourists as they are, why wouldn't they?
