We've had a Keuring at our office for the last 3 years and ran Community breakfast blend and other brands through the machine without a problem. Recently we purchased a box of the Community coffee from Sams and the machine doesn't handle them like it had previously. Most of the time it only makes 1/2 of what it typically makes and sometimes only a few drops. It's also extremely slow. It doesn't skip a beat with the other brands and continues to make a full cup. The packaging changed recently with the Community K cups and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. The new cups seem to be heavier and more durable with a thicker plastic than before. Anyone else use Community K cups and experienced a similar issue?

Haven't tried the new ones. Mrs. Midnight and I noticed a strong "plasticky" taste in the old ones and we didn't prefer them. I have a Bunn single cup machine with different drawers for tea, ground coffee, K-Cups, etc. We end up using the Community pods when travelling - in the ground coffee drawer. I may have to try out the new packaging to see:

1. If the K-Cups work in the Bunn K-Cup drawer.

2. If the taste has improved.

Keurig now makes the Community K-cup now. That's why they are no longer called single serve. Its still Community coffee, but Keurig packs it in their standard K-cup material.

I didn't buy them, our secretary did. And judging by her history in decision making I guarantee you she got the wrong ones

Maybe has to do with the Keurig 2.0 shite?

Why do some of these companies think change is good? It was working, they should have left it alone.

Yeah, she probably got the wrong cups.

PS Eight O'Clock is 10x better than Community.

Aren't there only two kinds? You'd know if they were the wrong ones because the shape is completely different and probably wouldn't fit

The only possible problem is the holes. Have you examined a cup after using it?

I had this problem with mine and ran vinegar through it and it's worked fine since. Though if you're not having the problem with other cups, I don't know

no problems here but community delivers ours to the office and owns the machine

I'm not sure. We've always bought ours in bulk from Sams. I thought they only sold one kind

I like Community fine but it always amuses me when people buy mediocre-level coffee to run through Keurig. I mean, Keurig degrades the quality enough, and typically the pricing isn't much different.

The fact that people buy Folgers k cups blows my mind, but I suppose it shows the power of branding and name recognition.

Try using the Keurig Descaling Solution. Crap builds up in there and it cleans it out. Worked on mine when it had the same problem.

I'll give it a try. I thought that it may have been clogged too, but it works fine running straight water through it. I've also ran a few other brands through it and the Community is the only one to give us problems. Weird

I have the same problem with Community Cafe Special K cups. I always figured it was Community over packing the cups.
