I just cannot get excited about holidays anymore. It sucks, because I have two little boys and want it to be special for them. Just doesn't feel the same, since I'm no longer married.

This feels like a spinoff of one of the 15 divorce threads in the past few days.

Holidays were rough growing up so I'm sort of jaded, but they're much better now that I'm married

Hey man, there's been a lot of threads in the past few days about depression meds. Look into them. Use them.

The holidays are a great time. Let's #MTHGA

You could go find a homeless guy to blow.

Some of y'all are truly miserable frickers.

This is my favorite time of the year. Get to spend time with my family, kids, and grandkids. My only wish is that it wasn't so expensive and commercialized.

I've used depression meds before. They don't work. I'm not depressed, just not in the holiday spirit. Maybe hate was too strong of a word. I guess I should've said I don't care for them anymore. It's more like a hassle now.

I do not love the holidays...

Don't necessarily hate them.

Is there a hobby you're into or a project you've wanted to do but been putting off?

If so, use the extra free time you have over the holidays to dive into it. It will keep you distracted from all the holiday stuff that seems like a hassle to you. The worst thing you can have when you are going through a bummer phase is an idle mind.

I am loving this holiday season. First one that I am no longer married to a miserable woman.

Daughter is with me for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I have enjoyed the hell out of picking out a tree and decorating with her and letting her wrap all the presents regardless of how "terrible" it looks.

She has enjoyed it as well.

Christmas can be more of a hassle than anything, it doesn't really excite me like it use to. I do like Thanksgiving because.. Well, what is there not to like? There is a bunch of food and football is on, but when it comes to Christmas I think it should be more about the kids than anything. And Jesus, I don't think he was actually born on Dec 25 so its really not his birthday.
