Never been there and it's only a three hour drive. Thinking about going for a couple of days, is it a good time?

I live in Charleston so I go to MB frequently. I highly recommend going. It's no Panama City but it's still a great time. Check out all the bars at Broadway at the Beach.

I don't take that as a good sign.

I have been to Myrtle Beach once and I thought the beach area was trashy as hell

PCB is better. Good times to be had, but not anything to write home about. Depending on your time frame, it will prob still be fairly cold. I would go farther South.

Couldn't pay me enough to go there after the tPOS stunt their marketing and promotions people pulled back in 2010. I live in Mobile and within days of oil reaching Gulf Coast beaches from the 2010 oil spill I started receiving brochures in the mail and seeing commercials promoting Mrytle Beach. Never got the first thing in the mail before then and haven't since. I thought it was a tacky bush league move to take advantage of those on the Gulf Coast suffering through the oil spill.
