16 states plus DC drink more alcohol per capita than LA. New Hampshire is by FAR the leader. The others that are really high are Deleware, DC, North Dakota, Nevada and Vermont.
Utah, understandably, is the lowest and oddly WV is second, I am guessing because meth is cheaper or the availability of untaxed liquor in Appalachia might skew the results because Kentucky, Tennesee, North Carolina and Virgina are all below the national average but they all are downwardly impacted by religion in those areas.
