If I lived in Louisiana I’d have to drink a lot too.

One of my best friends growing up, also a poster on here, his dad was from Wisconsin and would mow the lawn with a beer in hand and one in just about every pocket including back pockets. Always miller genuine draft.

This those people go hard. Outside the US nobody can come close to touching Poland.

Lots of places. You need to get out more

I’ve traveled extensively in the lower 48. South LA can hold it’s on with most. Wisconsin and rural Minnesota can throw down with anybody though. Them frickers are packing an extra layer that just absorbs alcohol. I will State one thing as fact, their women could drink ours under the table twice over and hang with most men, wait for the guy to pass out and then pack him to bed. They are a stout group
ETA: Canadians go hard as frick. Must be something to do with the cold.

Montana. There's nothing but micro breweries there and casinos.

Louisiana doesn't have alcoholics, only professionals.

Just based on fan base reputations from sports, I’d put Wisconsin, Iowa, and the City of Buffalo high on the list.
ETA: Louisiana just stands out among southern states because it isn’t ruled by Baptists who are only privately alcoholic.

Yep, and no offense to the LA residents, but I haven't found that your drinking acumen is actually that much better.
I've known plenty of south LA natives, and the biggest difference is how prominent and how open the drinking culture is. It's not so much that they can "drink people under the table." It's just the difference in showing up to one of your friends' houses in Louisiana and their parents are totally at ease with you getting drunk upon your arrival.
That's considerably different than growing up in most of Alabama or Georgia or South Carolina, I think. And it's probably the Catholicism, because friends from south Mississippi and south Alabama are similar.

Theres a big, no, HUGE difference in being able to put back beer vs liquor. The people I know that are big beer drinkers can drink beer all day long and maintain but they get one Long Island or Martini in them and they turn into a spewing, homeless, prostitute with narcolepsy.

Louisiana doesn't drink like a sprint. We marathon drink.
When out west in the dunes, I'm always shocked when the guys from Ohio and Pennsylvania kill a fifth in two hours and pass out.
They are equally shocked when they wakeup to piss at 3-4 a.m. and I'm sitting by a fire well into finishing mine.
