I attended the tarpon rodeo for a stretch of 10-12 years straight. I've literally never seen uglier women anywhere else I've been.

the fishing plays second fiddle to the party.I don't even bring a rod/reel when I go. There will be plenty of booze, drugs, fights, and sluts. They have gotten a little more strict lately due to deaths but it's still a shite show
if you want to see a sex show in person go to Sand Dollar Marina at night Friday or Saturday.

eta: I really didn't know the extent of the partying. Just knew it was a fishing tournament. FWIW I've NEVER even been close to Grand Isle. Shame on me.
