I wear a full beard, but I recently made the switch to a DE Safety Razor for my neck and upper cheeks and I'm loving it.

What's 'wet shaver' mean? Besides with water? I couldn't imagine shaving completely dry

DE Safety Razor

Only way I will shave. The only drawback is when you travel, and you carry on, you cannot bring the blades.

I used to use an electric razor dry (after I would shower) but it would still eat my face alive. I can't use the multi-blade razors to wet shave because those eat my skin on my neck so badly its painful when it grows out.

I use a merkur de every morning and most nights. Keep my neck clean shaven.

My wife started using it over her 9 blade monstrosity and loves it.

These do so much more damage to your skin than a good single blade.

I'll take my DE safety razor with a Feather Blade any day over any of those multi-blade things.

Me too - and i'll pay a fraction of the price. It amazes me that guys still pay those outrageous prices for a cartridge stacked with inferior blades.

This is why I originally switched. Imagine my surprise when I found out I get a better shave at much much lower price.

I dedided to go this route and found that my aunt had saved my grandfathers shaving gear. I use his safety razor which is possibly 50 years old if I had to guess. There is something really cool about shaving with his razor. He lived to be 95 and still drove and had girlfriends. Hoping it brings me such luck.

lol, what? it's a single blade loaded onto a metal holder? It doesn't get much simpler than that. I can buy 50 Feather brand platinum blades for $13. That'll last me one year since I use 1 per week. Blades don't get any sharper than Feather.
