You got me. I made a mistake posting from my phone.

Glad to know you don't make such silly errors and are only behind the Virgin Mary in purity and perfection.

Go drive to fourchon and look at the amount of boats/equipment that's stacked right now. That should answer your question

Chill out guy. You two were gloating about all the property inspection and preservation work you were going to get when all the oilfield guys Default on their loans and the cheap hires to do the work. It was in poor taste.

The gf father is up there with Shell and he took a voluntary pay cut and only goes to his office 2 days a week. He was trying to get me in with some of his vendor company as a sales guy but no one is hiring. He advised me to look into alternate energy fields, solar, natural gas ect.

I feel bad for those who have lost jobs. If any of you have any bay boats that are weighing you down, I am here to help.

Why would alternative energy jobs be on the rise if oil is so cheap? Energy in every form is affected by this in some way or another.

Because alternative energy is heavily subsidized by the Government?

Have you tried DOW in BR area? I feel like a lot of people I grew up with work there. I'm sure most of them are operators and not engineers though.

I have crews working in several states. Lafayette isn't going to make or break me. It's very, very small compared to some of the cities I cover which makes it a very small amount of my overall volume. About the only thing that has changed for me is I finally have good crews working there due to the amount of available labor.

No gloating here.

I will gloat over only paying $2.30 to fill up my truck though.

It might be stable, but its by no means a place to turn due to market fluctaluations in O&G. If it wasn't a field that was tearing it up before, it's not going to be any different now or anything.

And as far as solar, I'd think about one company per 200k population would probably be a good business to be in. Even still as the owner, I wouldnt expect millions, but you could probably pull 200k per year with all the government backing. But any more than that would saturate the market I would think. And if the governmemt backing went away, your cash cow is gone. No one is doing it if the government isnt paying for most of it for them.
