FWIW the latest word is that he was a completely innocent bystander and was hit by a stray bullet. Just got out of surgery a little while ago. Also his dad has been a cop for a good 25 years, not that it makes a difference, just thought I'd mention.
ETA this kid was at home when it started. When the fight started, his brother called him and woke him up to come get him from the place where they were fighting. The shooting started right after he got there.

So he was in the car right? No way he would have gotten out right?
Cause I'm sure his brother called and said he was going to run 2 blocks from the fighting and can be picked up there, where its safe, right?

I don't know smartass. All I know is people are saying that when it all started, his brother called him for a ride and he went. I do know he's never been in any trouble and is a good student.

Not being a smartass. I'm more pointing out his brother is probably the problem. Seems he called for help fighting, not to gtfo of there. If he wanted out, he would have been no where near the fighting when his high school brother arrived.
