At times, possibly. 'Accounting' is such a broad term so it can vary quite a bit.
I'm a CPA that has worked in the oil & gas industry for about 15 years. Some of it has been boring, some of it too exciting, and some just exciting enough. I've developed a lot of experience in areas having nothing to do with accounting while I also have no idea what forensic accounting would entail (day to day).
