I'm curious about this as well. I have to take my company SUV to Chicago suburbs a ton and I've already gotten 3 this year. They're such bullshite - for things like pulling up too fricking far in the right turn lane at 5:30 AM when there's nobody on the road. Pisses me off so fricking bad.

Photo covers are actually illegal and you can get pulled over and ticketed for obstructing your plate.
Wait until you are on the boot list, then simply get a new license plate.
Or pay the $135.

My brother used one. He still got tickets from cameras in New Orleans and Houston. Waste of $...from the cover and the tickets.

The cameras use infared. That screen doesn't do anything against that.

Agreed.
I am not surprised that LA is one of the few places that still operates cameras for traffic violations. Most communities across America have been called out on how corrupt this practice is and removed them.
