Isn't it contradictory to have a support about religious freedom where you are against gay marriage?

Because homosexuals are the debil. I heard one explanation why gays shouldn't be allowed to get married is that then the gays will adopt kids. Then they will molest the kids thus teaching the kids to be gay. That's right. Apparently all gay people are child molesters.

It's dumb.
Of course, there are sensible arguments to be made against gay adoption, but most are extreme cases (gender reassignment encouragement, parents getting upset when their adopted children take on traditional gender roles). I don't think children are generally well served by same sex households. But for kids who would grow up in crowded foster or group homes, it's hard for me to hold on to the opposition.

Actually, marriage is purely secular in its origins and was a state institution before religion co-opted it entirely.
Marriage is the business of the state.
