Was this episode a good representation of New Orleans? Or did it make you angry? Speaking to the people who live there.

It's impossible to get a good representation of New Orleans in any television show. Treme came close but overextended IMO. Bourdain is solid though.

He's been a couple times. The first time he was here I thought it was lame, but he has a new show called "The Layover" where I thought it was really really good.

I used to live there and it did not make me angry. Its hard for anybody to go into X's home town and hit all the right spots and make all the right moves. He did a decent job for Bourdain. Which is 10 fold better than most could do.

Bourdain comes across as a laid back guy you could truly go up to and have a beer with. Now if he's really like this outside of the lens, no idea.

Yep and it was on again a few nights ago.

Bourdain's visit to N.O. for No Reservations was just ok. The Layover episode was much better.

The best episode IMO.

His Layover episode was the best representation I've ever seen. It's great. Completely stays out of the FQ. Goes to a lot of neighborhoods and goes to places locals eat and drink at.
