A former Pittsburgh elementary school teacher is accused of being "obsessed" with one of her 11-year-old students, sending the girl thousands of text messages over a period of two weeks, and planning to run away with (and possibly even adopt) her.
Geraldine Alcorn, 28, was charged Wednesday with "child luring, corruption of minors and attempting to interfere with custody of the child," Pittsburgh's WPXI reported. She's currently free on a $100,000 bond and forbidden from contacting the child.

Police say that Alcorn's texts to the alleged victim—2,400 of them in just two weeks, according to the girl's mother—showed a "deep love" between teacher and student, and mentioned going "on the run" together.

Police said after the girl's mother discovered the messages on her iPod, she found handwritten letters in her daughter's school binder labeled "Things Ms. Alcorn and I can do," "What we can do" and "When we can do it."
Neighbors told Channel 11 Wednesday that they saw Alcorn on the front porch of the 11-year-old girl's house but always assumed she was an aunt or relative.

"Police don't believe Alcorn's attraction to the girl was sexual," WPXI reports.

Well this is an interesting twist on an old favorite.

Woman on girl? How do we as the OT handle this?
Is it "THAT LUCKY GIRL" or "BURN THE TEACHER IN THE STREETS" or a combination of both?

Let's do the math here…2400 texts…2 weeks…there are 336 hours in 2 weeks. That is an average of about 7 texts per hour IF THE CRAZY BITCH DIDN'T SLEEP A WINK. For the sake of argument, let's say the nut job slept 6 hours a night. That would mean she was awake for 252 hours over 2 weeks…giving her time to send an average of about 9 texts per hour, which is roughly 1 every 6-7 minutes.
1 text every 6-7 minutes for 2 weeks straight? Wouldn't you run out of things to say at some point? What in the actual frick is wrong with people and their brain….

Teacher with a 16 year old, maybe "Lucky You"
Teacher with an ELEVEN YEAR OLD!!!!!!! Not so much.

Not to mention, the kid is in school, and the teacher presumably "works". Does the 11 year old kid (ELEVEN!) carry around the cell phone all day at school? Do schools allow this?
Is this woman her regular teacher? Is it a "self-contained" class, or do the teachers/subjects rotate throughout the day?

If I didn't know better, this is what Paige would look like in my mind.

Geraldine?
I guess the devil made her do it?
(Lets see how many old people remember that)

Sounds less like a sex-driven stalker and more like one of those rare types that develops an infatuation with a child because they want a child of their own.
Given the volume of texts, this makes sense.
