Sherwood Forest S/D (Goodwood Blvd specifically). it never used to hold water in this spot till the sewer system was upgraded. i think there may be a "problem" with a pipe conflict

yep, its all part of the federally mandated upgrades to the sanitary sewer system. i know for a fact that there is some problems with the elevation datum that DPW has. causes real problems when your trying to make sewage run downhill. additionally, there is a minor geologic fault in this area of town.

That was going to be my guess (the general area). I often take that route home since it's apparently more fun to study traffic than it is to just build a fricking loop already (small rant /off ).

if this started after the recent sewer upgrades, it was probably that a portion of the old storm water system found its way into the sewage system, or old storm lines tied directly into sewer manholes. the upgrades likely "fixed" the wrong systems tying to each other but may have caused an unforeseen capacity problem.
