Group of 15 (some children)

Have about 2 days to kill

Probably not enough time to drive up to Denali

Suggestions on things to do?

Take the Glacier tour-it's a day trip. They'll pick you up at your hotel, depending on where you're staying. You'll love it!

Someone make an awesome "here comes Rogertheshrubber" GIF with a lumberjack strutting through the woods a la StrongSafety.

Bush Co. (without the children)

When are you going up there? Makes a big difference.

Alaskan Bush Company.

Leave the kids at the hotel though.

Take a drive down the Seward highway to Whittier. In town, get a pizza from Moose's Tooth.

Hit up Glacier Brewhouse. Best salmon I have ever had. Expensive, but worth it. REALLY crowded though. Try their Bourbon Eisbock (sp?). That is some strong stuff

Lunch: Humpy's Alehouse. Great stuff. Get a king crab sandwich. Try their IPA.

Try the one day cruises. I was not able to while I was there, but I have heard they are awesome and I regret not being able to go.

There are a couple bike trails along the coast. Left fork goes to a park. Right fork goes to a river where you can see fisherman trying to get salmon.

You will love it. Amazing people. I was only there for a few days, but I plan on going back.

Edit: Saw you will have 15 kids with you. Ignore the 2 restaurant recommendations if thats the case.

Take at least one person that cannot outrun you. Just in case you meet a bear.

So it just hit you that you are going to be in Alaska this week and might need to make plans?

2 days, not much. Maybe drive down to Girdwood or up to Hatchers Pass. You'd need more time to see much outside of the city itself.

Lots of good restaurants downtown, avoid 4th street like the plague though. Decent museum downtown, Native Heritage Center.

If you have some $$, go flightseeing over the Knik Glacier.

Sounds like you are going to be Anchored Down in Anchorage.

Good song, I'd give you a recommendation of things to do if my goddam B-I-L would answer my text. He lived there for six years.

Rotsa ruck.

Nah. Going on a cruise. Arrival date in Anchorage wasn't set until just recently.
