MMA would tax the anaerobic system much more harshly similar to repeat 800m runs...anaerobic glycolysis sucks arse and is painful. Tennis is long, less stressful motioning and much more aerobic where steady state occurs more easily.

Serena has gone into some majors sort of fat and out of shape and won them by simply overpowering opponents IMO. I'd go with Ronda in a catfight for endurance, though I don't know about longer distance kind of events. Serena has won some 3 hour slugfests in tough conditions, so she is capable of battling out there for extended periods of time.

I'd say the fighter would last longer in an actual fight

In my experience from playing football and basketball, neither got you in correct shape for wrestling. It's all different types of endurance

Rousey would only need to last 25 seconds.

Considering Serena couldnt even finish her own charity 5k a few weeks ago, I'd say Rousey.

Different muscles. Serena could run around forever, but swinging a tennis racket is completely different than punching. She would tire from punching much quicker than Rousey

Give Serena a racket and it would be a hell of a fight though

Purely in the endurance question, I'd say Serena. Training and playing at the highest level for 15 plus years. I would think if she was a smart fighter, the bursts of energy required would be similar to tennis. Strictly from an anaerobic/aerobic energy expenditure standpoint, and not counting fighting skills.

an interesting question is when will black women start getting into mma?

black women are far more athletic than other races of women and are 100 times more ruthless.
