Officials said the train suffered some engine damage, but not enough damage to cancel the trip.

Really? The dumbass on the track. It's not like the train can veer and hit someone.

I was on the train they call the City of New Orleans that hit a car once. Never heard if there were any fatalities but it was very inconvenient.

The woman's name was released, as well as events surrounding the accident - see OP

I'd love to see what they'd claim went wrong, other than the woman either going around the arms or just being completely unaware of the train coming.

Well, if the train was speeding then they would be at fault..

Well according to the link, and what is copy and pasted right there in the OP, the arms came down on the rear of the vehicle

Which must mean was she was there before the arms came down. Likely just sitting at the light

The road that passes in front of ESA. The intersection on Cade hwy. with food and fun. I drove by at around 4:45 and they had it cleaned up but there a bunch of damage.

Train should have stopped. Racist train driver purposely hit her.

Im sorry to say, but there are no unsafe train intersections. If you get hit by a train you are an idiot. No discussion, no questions.

Was coming here to post something along these lines. You get hit by a train, you're a moron. This is why the fine for stopping on a railroad track is upwards of $500.
