Amite River Christmas on the Bayou this Saturday

Some folks have started up the old Christmas on the Bayou organization and will be having their first annual parade this Saturday. The parade will begin at the Chinquapin Boat Launch in Maurepas at 5:00. It will follow the Amite river and make stops at Red's Restaurant and Manny's Bar along the Amite. Santa Claus will be giving out stockings at both stops. This year's Grand Marshall is former LSU baseball player Kade Scivique (The Maurepas Masher). He will also be greeting folks at both stops. Please bring the kids out and enjoy the parade. The more participation we can get, the bigger we can make it in years to come.
