Amazon Prime and USPS

Is there a way I can tell amazon to not ship my orders through USPS?
Every dang time I order something and it is shipped USPS it is guaranteed to NOT make it within the 2 day prime shipping.

They must hate you because it's never been a problem for me.

I've had 50 items delivered in the last two years and never once had a problem.

Mine gets marked delivered in the two days, but shows up 5 days after that..

Never had a problem with 2 day prime shipping.

Never had a problem with prime for the last 5 years. Moved to BFE and they only hit on about half of my 2 day orders. USPS delivers the half that are a day or 2 late.

Ordered something back on the 29th and USPS said they delivered it the 1st. Never got a package and my doorbell camera never picked up anyone dropping it off. Called Amazon and they refunded me. Sucks because I wanted my $3.99 toilet paper and now the price is $8.15.

Mine does that as well. I don't even panic anymore when I'm missing a USPS prime delivery - they always show up 2 days after marked delivered

Not mad anymore it's just disappointing. I'm paying for the membership and not having the service provided. I found a way to
Email in to them so I'll see what they say back.

Don't order anything late night Wed or on Thursday if you don't want to risk of UPS getting it and then handing it off to the post office.
UPS doesn't deliver much on Sat so they will drop off a package that should be delivered on Saturday to a USPS hub Friday and then all bets are off.

That's fraud. You are paying $100 a year for the 2 day shipping option for free. I would be livid.
USPS must be scanning them delivered within the 2 days to make it look like they are doing their job. I'm guessing a report must be sent to Amazon to check to she how deliveries are going. They cooking the books IMO

Usps has been better than ups and fedex for me

I enjoy when it's late. I file a complaint immediately and they send another one. Then the one they already sent shows up, and I get 2!.
We have enough baby wipes for a whole 'nother baby because of this.

I've had prime for 3 years. I can't recall 1 time something that was shipped and sold by Amazon went out via usps. It's always ups or fedex. May be sure to my location? Usps is why I try not to order off ebay. Seems it always ships usps and takes forever.

From what I can tell at the moment, the answer is no. The problem is that even if you buying a Prime package it may be shipped by an independent seller not using Amazon warehouses. If that is the case then they can select their own shipping method. In a lot of cases they choose FedEx or UPS Smart Post.
A few weeks ago I ordered something thru Prime. At first it appeared to be shipped via UPS. Then it turned out to be UPS Smart Post, where UPS drops off the package at USPS for final delivery. Unfortunately I've had this happen about 3 times over the last year and if your local USPS office is staffed by lazy bastards like mine is, you will not get your package delivered on time. USPS tracking will show that the package is on the truck for delivery only to say couple of hours later that they could not deliver for some BS reason. USPS will deliver the next business day every time. Which is unfortunate as the last few times, I was expecting a package to be delivered on a Friday so I could complete a project for the weekend.
My local USPS office loves to use this excuse: Business closed, could not deliver package. Usually the supposed delivery time is always around 2:00 PM to my work address. The best part is we are open until 6 every evening and the fact is that the USPS driver never actually makes an attempt to deliver.
Best way to avoid the problem is to make sure the product you are buying is coming from a Amazon warehouse. If not you could be in for a delayed shipment. Every time the delivery has been delayed, I go back and look at the purchase and see it came directly from the seller.
