Am I a dick?

Bathroom at work is disgusting. Nobody wants to touch a normal public restroom door handle and this one is probably on par with a normal public restroom.
Janitor always keeps the trash can on the opposite end of the door so you can't grab a paper towel and use that to open the door and just toss the paper towel after. For the longest time I figured I'd give a not-so-subtle message that the trash can is useless away from the door by moving it to the door so we can throw away the napkins after opening the door instead of throwing them on the floor.
Each fricking time I move the trash can to the door (which in turn kept the floor napkin-free) the bitch janitor moves it back to the opposite end of the bathroom away from the door.
I don't even try anymore and now I just throw it on the floor after opening the door. Everyone else follows my lead too.
Am I an a-hole for throwing them on the floor now? I figure I at least tried but the bitch is too fricking stupid to realize she's just making her job harder for herself.
Dick move on my part or am I justified?

I think using a paper towel to use a door handle is a pussy move.
If you really want to fix your problems, change the hinges to make it push to open (from inside).

I know that this is gonna be a pretty unpopular opinion, but have you ever, you know, tried asking the janitor to move it near the door and the reason why?
I mean, just tossing the trash on the floor because you didn't get your way with the passive aggressive trash can war is a good way to show your displeasure, but I'm sure it's not the most efficient.

Im iffy on this. You tried to move the can but she keeps moving it back. But throwing the paper towels on the floor is trashy (no pun intended). Just save it until you go back to your desk and throw it away in your can.
