That's absolutely incredible.
Alzheimer's sucks. The last 10-15 years of my grandmom's life, she didn't know who she was, who her daughters were, or pretty much anything. It's sad, I didn't really know her because of it, and I lived 2 streets down from my grandparents.

My grandmother died of Alzheimer's about 10 years ago. She was the matriarch of my mom's side of the family. Watching my whole family suffer over 5 years was terrible. Now the family is divided and torn down the middle and my grandfather is a bitter man with nothing left.

Many Alzheimer patients actually get violent towards their caregivers. yet another difficult layer in this disease. I have a history of this in my family and I honestly think ill be afflicted with it later in life. Just a hunch. But ill take this news with guarded optimism. No doubt in my mind (no pun intended ) that we'll have this and many neurological diseases whipped in the next 100 years.
