Question for watch experts of the OT. I recently purchased an Alpina Chronograph and have been really liking it. Over the last week or so though, it has started to develop a weird problem. Sometimes when I put it on the top of the crystal will fog up around 12 o clock. At first i thought it may be moisture or something on the inside of the watch, but I can wipe the fogging off with my shirt, so it has to be on the outside. Also, if i take the watch off, it will eventually go away on its own. Anyone ever have any type of experience with this problem? Any ideas what may be going on?

I've had my Alpina B7 for about 3 months now. Great handling and I really love the feel.

Those in the watch business call this the Vodka Fog. You're probably an alcoholic as evidenced by your pores emitting, as mentioned, a vodka fog.

I'm pretty sure your are among the few dumb arses that paid for a $500+ watch branded Alpina.

Branded by alpina? You do realize alpina is a fancier watch brand?

Where are you leaving it when you take it off? If the condensation is not on the inside, I can't think of any explanation other than you are getting a cold spot on the crystal from the spot you are leaving it overnight?

Does this fogging happen mostly when you're driving? Maybe you have an AC vent pointing at it?

Put an ice cube on practically any watch crystal for a couple of minutes and it will fog. Check it on your watch.

What is the "it" that you are putting on top of the crystal, and is it fogging up at 12:00 AM or PM?
