I remember seeing this guy on 60 Minutes a couple of years back. I can't imagine the kind of mental discipline and physical stamina it takes for him to accomplish these feats.

But I also question his sanity.

Questions:

1. How does he know what route to take while climbing these cliff faces? Because what if climbs 3 quarters of the way up and then realizes there are co cracks or footholds of any kind? Does he do a survey of them? If so, how? A helicopter?

2. What happens if he gets tired midway or his arms or legs cramp? What is his backup plan? He can't possibly climb down the same way he went up, right?
